My app is exhibiting strange behavior [Android]

If you’re experiencing unusual behavior in one of our apps on an Android device (such as dropped audio), there are many likely causes other than the app itself. Most likely, it’s a temporary issue that can be corrected with one or more of the steps below.

Restart your device

Rebooting your device gives it a fresh start and is sometimes all you need to fix your issue. To restart your device:
  1. Press and hold the Power button until the menu pops up.
  2. Touch Power off.
  3. Touch OK to confirm.
  4. Wait a couple minutes before powering back on.
  5. Press and hold the Power button until your device starts.
Check for system updates

System updates can provide improvements that may fix your issue. To check for and install system updates:
  1. Open the main Settings app on your device.
  2. Under "System," touch About phone or About tablet > System Updates > Check Now.
  3. If a system update is available, touch Install. You might need to restart your device to complete the update. If a system update is not available, the screen will say “Your system is up to date.”
